Wonder how long the goaltending needs to be better narrative is going to hold out for?

There are very few players on the Calgary roster that I would consider 200 foot players, either forwards or defense.

Good players for sure, but ones that need to significantly adjust the way they play to be more defensive. Monahan and Gio being the two biggest names that seem to cheat for offense IMO from what I have seen.

Coach has to deprogram all the bad habits built over a full season of unsustainable shooting percentages and unsustainable goaltending they got 2 years ago when they made the playoffs.

Its weird to see Calgary being a run and gun team after so many years of very defensive hockey and Kipper holding the fort.

I've noticed that, too. Glad you pointed out Monahan in particular. I've been saying his defensive game isn't as good as many will tell you and the numbers back that up.

I think a lot of players do, especially young guys who think offence first. The 200ft game will come for him. As far as Gio goes I think it's more of trying to do too much because we always seem to be down a goal or two. To paint a picture like you two clowns did 5 games in is incorrect!

put Kulak with Hammy and bring up Kylington to play with Engs!

Agree with what you are syaing about Brouwer. He should shoot more but Bennett has been the worst center by far. Bennett needs to use Brouwer more and not try and slip through 2-3 defenders. Starting to think they should put Bennett back on wing.

As for PP, not sure why they hired Cameron to take on those duties. Wasn't the Senators PP brutal when he was coaching them?

This is a team issue right now. From breakout to the offensive zone, too many players trying to do too much on their own.

Everyone needs to take a breath, it'll come. I just hope these points we piss away now don't hurt too bad come March.

I'm just glad there hasn't been an announcement that Elliot was extended as was the rumor last month. He'll be better but hasn't proved f-all yet.
